Historical Note:
Formed in 1895, the company became one of the largest Broken Hill mining operations and was a principal member of the Collins House Group. Joining with BHP, BHS and ZC in the formation of BHAS in 1915, NBH expanded its interests in Broken Hill through the 1920s, and diversified into other areas of smelting and metals extraction over the 1930s and 1940s.
