Frank F Espie was born in Burma in 1917, educated Adelaide. After service in WWII he joined the Zinc Corporation becoming Assistant General Manager production 1957-61 and General Manager, Industrial Division, 1964-64. He became a Director of CRA in 1968, Deputy Chairman from 1974, serving as Chairman of a number of CRA companies including AM&S. He was Chairman of the Herald and Weekly Times Ltd and the Commercial Bank of Aust.Ltd. He held positions in both AMIC and AusIMM
